We invite you to join us in the wild and enchanted 50 acre valley of Embercombe retreat at the edge of Dartmoor, for a mystical journey exploring the vast landscape of the Feminine.

Join us in evoking that part of us that has been kept hidden for too long. She is ready to emerge, in her wildness, in her wholeness, in her untamed nature and in her freedom. She is soft, tender, fierce and powerful. She is walking barefooted and full breasted, in her flow and in her repose. Guided by her intuition and the unseen ones, her sensitivity is her superpower. She is both witch and virgin, crown and maiden, mother and lover. She is both the well and the spring, she births herself and all of life out of herself, she is infinite creativity, she is the deepest mystery.

We will dive into the vessel of our bodies as the sacred map of our belonging, as the place where the wild one within us resides. We will dance and move and let our bodies express their deepest longings . We will explore our cyclical nature embracing all of our inner seasons, we will gather in ritual as the wise women of all ages have, attuning to the deep knowing of our wombs and hearts, tasting the sweetness of freedom, welcoming all of our shadows. It will be a time for silence, for contemplation, for celebration and deep sharing.

She is calling you to return back home within yourself, to attune to her cycle of life/death/rebirth, to awaken to her dance, to let her song be heard, to receive her whisperings of secrets long forgotten.

Location:

The land itself is beautiful and raw and wild, set within 50 acres of old woodland, meadow and gardens in a magical Devonshire valley. Embercombe is a place where you can get back to your roots – a place with an immediate sense of connection with nature, with each other and with yourself, your purpose and your creativity.

Embercombe even has its own ancient stone circle where we will gather for ceremony and ritual, a lake for wild swimming, a place to tell stories around the bonfire and quirky accommodation of stove-fire yurts, vintage vans and cabins.

Their emphasis is on inspiring people to live in close relationship with nature and co-creating a regenerative future, and they apply this to everything they do, from their menu to their indoor and outdoor spaces.

Daily Schedule:

Saturday: 2pm Check-in. 3pm Welcome practice 6:30pm Dinner

8pm Bonfire and ritual

Sunday - Tuesday : 7am Morning sadhana: meditation, mantra, breath, movement

10:30am Brunch

3:30pm Afternoon workshops 6:30pm Dinner

Before brunch there will be an epic morning practice including meditation, mantra, journalling, breath work and fluid free feminine movement.

The afternoon sessions will dive into different topics and workshops exploring the mysteries of the feminine.

You will enjoy two delicious vegetarian meals a day.

It will be a time for you to let your voice be heard, to let the wilderness within you be unleashed, to remember the power of your vulnerability and to let yourself be seen and held by the power of the Feminine within each Woman.

You will stay in one of their beautiful yurt villages. Each yurt is furnished with comfortable beds and wood fired stove. Both yurt villages have a compost toilets and running water. Full bathroom facilities with hot showers and flushing toilets are available in the main building.

(It is located in the countryside just 8 miles from Exeter, 1.5 hours from Bristol and 3.5 hours from London. You can drive there, carpool with other participants, or take a train to Exeter St David’s and take a short taxi ride from there.)

If we have to cancel the retreat due to covid restrictions, a full refund will of course be given.

About co-facilitator Emilia Cianci

Emilia is a wild woman, mystic, soul worker, deep lover of life, Earth Wisdom carrier and poet of the Heart. She is deeply committed to facilitating spaces of embodied awakening, reigniting the fire of curiosity, supporting others to dive into the vast landscapes of their inner worlds, giving voice to their wildest Selves and embracing each level of the mystery we all contain. Since a young age she has been practicing returning to the intricate language of her Soul, trying to deepen her intimacy with all things and weave herself back into communion with Life. Her desire to know and explore all the textures of Truth have brought her to study Indigenous ways of knowing, Buddhist meditation, Tantrik Yoga, embodiment practices, trauma studies, Feminine awakening practices, dreams and archetypes, creative and expressive therapy, herbalism and more. She has been facilitating a wide range of spaces from women’s awakening circles, to trauma-informed yoga programs for refugees to embodied nature connection retreats to ceremonies and rituals. All of her work is in service of awakening to our deepest and most loving nature, to remembering our interconnectedness, to opening ourselves to the invisible mystery that has birthed us and to practicing right relationship with all that is.
